My son is fatigued most of the time, has aches in his arms and legs. His blood tests come out ok. He has sleep apena ? and has a device that the dentist provided him with.
While lab work is done--very seldom do doctors run lab work for vitamin B shortages, niacin shortage-which is a form of pernicious anemia. There are specialists that only work with chronic fatigue. I'd recommend an endocrinologist-hormone doctor to care for him. It's also possible for him to have Lyme disease from ticks in the Western USA, but doctors back East don't look or test for it. If you can't find a doctor that specializes in fatigue or hormones-internist are usually a good choice. Good luck, I hope that it goes well for you.
My dad has Lyme disease and we live in jersey. He may not be getting enough sleep my uncle had the same problem after a month on the sleep apnea machine he finally started getting enough rest where he felt better. Before the machine he took two naps a day. He can start taking vitamins probably won't hurt. How old is your son? Is he overweight? Or depressed?
