i work in a care home and have a man with dementia who has diabetes he is taking metformin i was looking for things i can do to help him as he unable to understand consequences of his decisions due to his dementia
The best thing you can do is to make him feel comfortable, ignore his dementia as far as reminding him of it, and try to keep him social and moving around. Try walking him or pushing him in a wheelchair around the grounds or hallways. You might also try reading to him.
