My mother has decided not to take Forteo two friends have been taking the drug for twelve months. Very little improvement. The drug is very expensive to find poor results. Why is the drug so costly and how long did they perform clinical trials?
Most new drugs are exspensive because of the research that goes into getting them on the market. I take Forteo, and fortunately have insurance to cover all but my $20 co-pay each month. I'm not sure if Medicare Part D would cover it or not. I'm on Medicare, but my other insurer insists their drug coverage is better. Something maybe to check out.(Medicare D, I mean) I was told & shown the difference Forteo can make after 24 months. I don't know if 12 months is long enough to know the difference.
