It sounds like you're not inhaling enough of the medicine. I went to the web site and watched the instructional video. Its very informative. Here is the web site.
I've had two Tudorza inhalers so far, and both had this problem after 10–20 doses. I can't get them to click back to red, which means the next dose won't load. I watched the video, read the instructions, and did everything I normally do, but they both suddenly stopped working.
Yes this is the 4th inhailer in 2 months mine stops around #20. Why is this happening I have to use this at least twice a day. HELP
I have problems all the time and the Pharmacist acts like I'm old and stupid and tells me I'm not doing it right. I've had at least 5 replaced and now have 2 more that don't work. I also have to wait 2 or 3 waiting for the Pharmacist to call to say they are in. I love the med but for what they costs why can't they get a better inhaler?
I've used Tudorza Pressair for 5 years.
I have had numerous issues with the inhaler malfunctioning because the mechanics are faulty.
Do not allow anyine to call you names or criticize when your inhalers malfunction. You are doing it correctly... the inhalers are bad and not made correctly.
I called Astra Zeneca and they REPLACE THE INHALERS.
You must go through your pharmacy, but it's worth it.
However, some of the replacements don't work either.
So Astra Zeneca needs to be made more aware of this bad acting inhaler.
CALL THEM !!! ALL OF YOU CALL THEM !

I have used this product for about two years and during that time I've had the same experience four times. This last time I finally went back to Rexall drug store and asked them to replace the defective inhaler. They contacted the supplier for Tudorza and they pointed the finger back at me by saying I don't know how to use the inhaler properly. I'm been using this product for 2 years, twice per day... that works out to over 1,400 uses. It angers me that this drug company feels free to put the blame on anyone except themselves.

Dear kaismama, I was told by my doctor, who watched me that I was doing it right and then by pharmacist also. Plus I called pharmaceutical co and girl listened to how I was doing it. I have never had problems with other inhalers. I really appreciate your feedback though. Have a blessed day.
Watch the video, it makes some points to solve the problems you're having. It was very interesting. I'm a nurse and need to know how to use these things. I could watch it and see where people would have the most trouble, from past experience with other inhalers. It says if you're not getting the red mark, you aren't inhaling all the medication or the green button wasn't released completely.
I have had same problems with my Tudorza Pressair. Been on it since last May 2013. The past 3 months, problems have been; it not going back to red, not going to green. In number of doses have been between 20 - 25 doses left. Took them back to pharmacy n they had no answer. I plan on contacting the company. There has to be a defect in the product. They are to expensive to replace when you still have 10 days of doses remaining. I know very well how it works.
I,too, am having problems and I am so frustrated. I know that I am doing it correctly also. Even when I know that all that particular dosage is done, slightly hitting the inhalator doesn't close it. There are 60 doses per inhalator and I am lucky to get half of that. The medicine works great but only if you can get it. I have a doctors appt on thurs and I am going to ask him to prescribe something different. Shame on forest pharm fir not addressing thus problem in an honest forthright manner.
Sorry, but your answer sounds condescending to those of us who have used this inhaler correctly and it still doesn't work. I'm one of those.
I have had two inhalers now that simply do not count down. The number is stuck at 60 and hasn't moved, no matter how many doses I've used -- and yes I'm using it EXACTLY has the video says to.
So what do we have here? A defective product and one that isn't well designed. I used to use serevent and their design was simple and effective, and in 4 years of use, I never had one malfunction. Not once.
I've had two of these inhalers and both are defective. My pharmacist has tried repeatedly to call the company to get information about why this has happened, but so far no response.
If it weren't for my insurance no longer covering Serevent, I never would be using this crappy product.
I also have had the problem of my Tudorza inhaler locking up after a very short time. No one seems to have an answer as to why. The box states that inhaler will lock after 45 days, but mine locks after 3-4 days. Such a waste of money, will be changing my Part D coverage to an insurer that covers an alternative.
I also am on Tudorza and every third prescription I get I have problems with. I usually bang the unit on the kitchen counter and usually after a few times the red dot shows up.! It usually takes four or five times. It really is not the way a drug is suppose to work lol. I have talked to people and talked the pharmacist and everyone shakes their head. Give it a try if you like the drug.
SO DID ASTRA ZENECA forget they are dealing with people with breathing problems. Maybe they need to help us out a little more . Lighten the inhale!
I ma using Tudorza inhaler for over two years. This year the inhaler twice. One didn't work from the beginning and the other stuck at #50. The medicine is great but the mechanics of the inhaler sucks. The manufacturer should pay for the replacement in the case of malfunction. Anybody know their website?
My inhaler just got stuck at 50 also. I sprayed the mouth piece with compressed air ( the stuff you use to clean your computer etc) and it freed the unit with out dispensing the medication so I was able to take it.
Worked like a charm.
