I had routine thyroid bloodwork done. Im on 150 ,mcg. My Tsh was 1.6 now months later its 2.5.
My Endocrinologist called to ask me what changed? Im going through a divorce so she thought it was that. I so started to smoke could that do it too? What else can change Tsh levels?
Thanks for all replies.
Stress could certainly be the cause. Are you taking your thyroid med on empty stomach first thing in morning? no iron supplements within 6 hours of taking it. Just trying to think of some simple possibilities. Given the stress of divorce if you would like to talk shot me a private message dear, will be quick to respond.
Also check to see if you a re taking your daily calcium and that magnesium products are taken two hours or later. That would be many vitamins, calcium, or antacids that contain magnesium. That would change your dosing.
Since you are still in a good range, the real question is are you feeling ok? Mine was adjusted four years after surgery. My endocrinologist says he sees this frequently enough to know that it is ok. If very ill it will change as well. If you have a major inflammatory disease it can change then too. That is why we check every six months. Good luck. Oh, and be sure you are on the same brand and not changing between the brand and the generic. That also makes a difference.
