I've been on suboxone for about 2yrs. I have very bad constipatation and not interested sexually most of the time. I read in one of the post Robert's painless taper worked, but I can't find it. Could someone point me in the right direction?
There is a member here named Pattishan61, and she has had great success with a Suboxone taper. If you go to "friends" at the top of the page, type pattishan61 into the search engine, and read her profile, it may give you some hope. She is great at helping people taper off, and do it in a way that is almost painless.
She is our resident Sub expert.
Best wishes to you,
hey John, this is pattishan, you can try to reach Robertunderscore325 on the forum part of the site, click on forum/discussion boards and start a thread. His taper is fast and although at a high dose of subs (16 mgs or more per day) you may be able to drop very quickly, once you get to a lower dose of 4 mgs or less per day, you may have to slow down and let your brain and body stabilize. If you will click my avatar, should be on the left of this post, you can click to read my subs story, all my tips I used to slowly taper off. You will see a disclaimer where I mention to please forgive me if I unfriended you, then a prompt to read more, click that and my taper schedule is there. As far as the constipation goes, please drink lots more water, eat pulpy fruit like apples and pears or even pineapple and get some exercise, that will help. Phillips milk of magnesia tablets also help and they are super gentle. Many men on suboxone have their testosterone level drop, this may have happened to you, there is a blood test to check it, do that to have your level checked. LOW-T as it is known, greatly affects the libido, so have that checked soon. Hope this helps, pattishan61
