I was told by my doctor that the BMS is my nerves and my brain not communicating correctly, being out of whack ( my words not his lolol ). He said that my mouth is being told by my brain that it is burning. Does that also explain the horrible sticky crap that is on my lips ? GROSS ! I need to know, when I am talking to others is my breath HORRIBLE ?
YES, if you can smell your own bad breath, others you speak close to will most definitely smell it too. Keep your lips moistened with a product like Blistek or Bee's NOT Chapstick. Gently wipe the lips clean after moistening with water first thing each morning.
All the best,
I hope someone is still reading this thread. I to have BMS and have wondered the same. The answer sadly is yes. I can't smell it either, I can only feel the burning and that awful taste. I never thought my breath smelled, but my wonderful husband informed me that indeed it does. I have tried everything to try to get rid of it. It seems as if it's changed into a hormonal thing as it seems to get worse with my period. Also exercise makes it worse.
