I stayed over at my parents house Saturday night and left my pack at home. All I had was a dark blue pill in my "extra" pack. And I was supposed to take my first light blue pill that day. Do I need to start a new pack? Or will I be ok with them mixed up? I also took another dark blue one today
The "extra" pack has me worried about what extra packs you have. Typically you should not have extra pills in any birth control pack. If you have a 28 day pack the first 21 pills contain hormones and the last 7 are iron supplements. Those iron supplements are entirely optional, but are there to help people remember to take the pills daily.
Trinessa comes with 7 pills of one strength, 7 of another, then 7 of a third, then 7 iron tablets. They go from lower estrogen concentrations to higher. The iron tablets are not birth control.
So, assuming you did not take an iron tablet, you are fine to start a new pack with the light tablets at #1. If it is an iron tablet, still start with tablet #1, but be cautious about protection for the next month.
