... put on a prescritpion of carmazapine and it seemed to do the trick. I have not had an episode for at least 4 years and I quit taking my medication around that time. I know that it is possible that i was misdiagnosed, being that my only trigger was inhaling with a stuffy nose. Could a period of dormancy last this long?
I have had long periods of dormancy myself (but not that long), so I couldn't say for sure, but are you seeing a neurologist and looking at your MRIs? If not - and you don't know if the cause (ie, bulge) has gone - maybe (hopefully!!) you were misdiagnosed and won't have to think about this horrible condition ever again!!!
