Trichomoniasis is a very common sexually transmitted disease (STD) that is caused by infection with a protozoan parasite called Trichomonas vaginalis. Although symptoms of the disease vary, most women and men who have the parasite cannot tell they are infected.
CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) recommend the following treatment options:
Metronidazole 2 g orally in a single dose
or Tinidazole 2 g orally in a single dose
Metronidazole 500 mg orally twice a day for 7 days.
All dose options are effective at treating Trichomoniasis. Some doctors may prefer a 7 day option while others a single dose.

I was suppose to take metronidazole 2 pills twice a day for 7 days and I've only been taking 1 pill?
