... my period not even half way into the pack. should i keep taking them or stop all together? Also should i be worried? This means i just had my period approximately 2-3 weeks ago so thats kind of early.
Keep taking them. Once you start, you never alter the way you take them no matter what your body is doing. It is common to have irregular bleeding in the beginning and the best way to get it to regulate out is to take your pills properly. Try to pick a time of day that you are doing the same thing each day, like first thing in the am, lunch time or dinner time or bedtime, whatever works, set an alarm on your cell phone to remind you to take it and keep to the same time every day (give or take an hour or so is not late-you have a little leeway there). It may take a few months but if you are consistent, your period will come during the forth week or week of "placebo" or "sugar" pills (or the week you are off if on a 21 day pack) Tri-Sprintec, I believe, has placebo pills. If you messed up on a month of pills or quit for a while, this will throw off your cycle and when you start back up, you should start as starting over and use condoms for back up the first seven days of the first pack only. After that, if you are consistent, you are protected 24/7. So just keep taking the pills as they come in the pack. If you bleed early, you may or may not bleed much during your placebo week so dont worry if you dont see much. There is only so much lining to bleed. Breakthrough bleeding is nothing to worry about. Hope this helps. Just let us know if you have any other questions!
