I was just prescribed tri-sprintec today. My period ended exactly a week ago. Do I have to wait until my next period to start taking it? My periods aren't normal in the first place and I was told by a friend that all it would do was mess the date of my period up.
Hi, you can start taken it now since you can take it either on the first day of your period of the following Sunday after you start your period and since you said you had your period a week ago then you can take it now, I never understood the Sunday thing but I have been taken birth control for 14 years now, I'm 30 now so I have a lot of experience and practice, so you are safe and if your periods are not normal then you can skip the inactive pills and start a new pack and maybe that will help get your body on track, but it is safe to skip the inactive pills, that was my obgyn who first suggested that, and now I skip mine like every other month so I can have sex and not worry about my period, let me know if this helps
