I have had RA for over 2 1/2 years and fibromyalgia most of that period... I feel like the doctors just push aside my fibromyalgia and r just focused on the RA.. Any tips to treat or lessening the affects of fibromyalgia would be greatly appreciated... I have been on Endep for a year but find it is no help...
You could also try Savella which is FDA approved for fibromyalgia. Some of the reviews for it (on this website) say that it completely took away their fibromyalgia. I have taken Trazodone for many years which has helped me tremendously. None of the other meds I was able to tolerate.
Also exercise is the single best relief for fibromyalgia. Start very slowly and increase gradually.
Hi angilu, you really need to be assertive with your rheumatologist about this.
Fibro hurts, and your doctor is ignoring it. There are many medications that can help you with the fibro pain.
I hope you speak up on your next visit, or make an appointment especially for addressing your fibromyalgia.
Don't let your doctor just blow this off!
Best wishes to you, and speak up about your fibro,
