I have been treated for depression, went off my meds and had a huge relapse. In one day I can be angry, irritable, happy, miserable, anxious, crawling out of my skin, etc. My doctor thinks I may have bipolar 2, and I am taking lamictal along with remeron. These things are so hard to diagnose, it's not like there is a blood test or something. If it is truly depression and NOT bipolar will the lamictal "hurt" me or interfere with the antidepressant effects of the remeron??
Relax. Worrying about the actual diagnosis is unnecessary. Treating your symptoms is critical. The lamictal with remeron is an effective combination. The lamictal will not hurt or interfere with the remeron.
I am bipolar II and lead a very productive content life with the aid of several medications. I am not ashamed and accept that I may be on these meds the rest of my life.
