There are various ways to treat fungal infections. Creams, medicines or diet can remove these fungi effectively. Also, home remedies may be helpful. But, treatment often depends on the severity of fungal infections. You need to consider which treatment is good for your condition. Here is what you can try:
- Oral medicines such as itraconazole, fluconazole, ketoconazole and terbinafine are often used for severe cases.
- Home remedies: garlic. Apply garlic paste on the affected area 3 times a day until the infection is completely gone. You can also insert some garlic cloves in your diet to heal the fungal infection. Garlic can burn your skin, so avoid using it for sensitive parts of your body. Other natural remedies are apple cider vinegar, coconut oil, tea tree oil and yogurt.
- OTC antifungal creams like Fugacil can relieve symptoms and prevent recurrent fungal infections. Put this cream on the infected area 2-3 times daily within 3-4 days and you will see the results.
