I have been taking Ambien for a year now unfortunately I started to develop a tolerance for it so decides to try trazodone again but it's just not working. I got the bars that you can spit into half or thirds .. when I take whole pill I tend to net nausea. But 3rd does nothing so taking half ... am hoping someone here has some advice o. How to get the most out of them ... cause I have tried everything else already and this feels like my last chance lol. Am going on a week of 4 hours a night sleep .. tearing my hair out lol . Thanks for support !!
Silverwolf; What you are going through is very common, I don't know what others you have tried but believe me there well be different ones if you continue to have problems with Trazodone. The dose you are taking the upsets the stomach are you taking it with some food like crackers or milk and see if that helps. But also as you have been bounced around from Ambien and other medications for sleep part of the problem could be withdrawals from the other medications at the same time. So the best you can do for now is continue to take the Trazodone as the doctor has prescribed and if you continue to have problems get back in to see the doctor. I know of many people after being on Ambien for a long time like a year or more have to go through the same thing as your going through now Hope that helps some But you could check with the doctor about the dose you're taking now that is giving you 4 hours sleep and see if it would be safe if you wake up to take another dose and try and get another 4 hours sleep. There are many ways around this but always make sure you don't take more than the doctor has prescribed. hope you get to sleeping well soon.
