Trazodone is used in the treatment of insomnia; anxiety; sedation; fibromyalgia; depression (and more), and belongs to the drug class phenylpiperazine antidepressants. Risk cannot be ruled out during pregnancy. Trazodone is not a controlled substance under the Controlled Substance Act (CSA).

Xanax is used in the treatment of anxiety; depression; panic disorder and belongs to the drug class benzodiazepines. There is positive evidence of human fetal risk during pregnancy. Xanax is classified as a Schedule 4 controlled substance under the Controlled Substance Act (CSA).
