Hydroxyzine is great for skin reactions and is good for anxiety but is the wrong medication for allergies that cause stuffy nose and congestion. It also causes drowziness for some people. Sounds like you don't need the drowziness. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist about something for the allergies that will help with the stuffy nose.
I had that side effect and my knees hurt so bad I couldnt move in the am. The med itself didn't work great for me to handle the side effects... I wad on 300mg at bedtime I started taking melatonin with it as it helped. I also researched melatonin it helps with chronic pain, anxiety, sleep, and other disorders... I am now on Sonata 20mg that actually works no side effects no hangover in the am. I also take a low dose of melatonin with it I was on the max before...
