Any one else find it takes hours to work? I couldn't get up till 1 on clock I was That tired. Should I take it earlier?
When I was inpatient, the doctor put me on 600mg of Trazodone. 50mg is an extremely low dose. ALSO I MIGHT ADD THAT THERE'S A 15 MINUTE WINDOW AFTER TAKING TRAZODONE FOR IT TO WORK. SO TAKE IT AND LAY DOWN IN YOUR BED AS SOON AS POSSIBLE! Trazodone does not even work for me. You may need a larger dose or try talking to your doctor about Remeron, Elavil, Gabapentin, Lunesta or Ambien, Restoril, and Rozerem, as a possibility. The other set of meds for insomnia I'm about to type are much heavier and have a greater risk of side effects: Seroquel, Zyprexa, Klonopin, Halcion, etc... these are basically used for sleep when you've exhausted a list of more mild sedatives. Do your own research! Then throw out a few ideas to your doctor if you're still having problems. Trazodone has no affect on me, but it did at one time. Hope you find this helpful!
