Took my first Trazodone tonight (about 10 minutes ago)... I will admit I am terrified I have read the nightmare stories-- even though I know there are lots of positive ones too... All a part of this anxiety cycle I'm in the process of breaking. I'm going to win this battle! Say a prayer that I sleep soundly my new found friends... I am so desperate for a good night's sleep...
prayers your way, i too suffer from the worse anxiety, depression, panic, ptsd, insomnia, pain and the list goes on, but oh the insomnia just gets me bad. if it works on helping you get to bed, let me know cause ill ask my dr for some too, i need sleep. hang in there
Hello Lisa. Trazodone is a excellant drug to help you sleep. Truly is. Many of the members from our site still take it. Side effects are relatively, mild, minimal. I was on it, and only stopped taking it, because I had built up an intolerance to it. Give it a fair chance, and I believe you'll be glad to find you'll be getting a fair nights sleep.Good night then :-0)
Hi NJMominVA, I take Trazodone for sleep and it really works for me. Its the only way I can actually get a good night's sleep. It works fast, and I can stay asleep. I don't have that hung over feeling in the morning like I have had with other sleep aides.
Just started tonight. Took at 930 & now 115. I don't even feel sleepy. My vision is blurry that is all I'm experiencing now. I'm scared to sleep it's like a phobia. I live by myself last couple of years & only time in my life. If anyone has suggestions I welcome them. I do lavender essential oils. I drink chamomile tea. I'm under so much stress & no one to talk to without getting dumb remarks
NJM; Yes this is a very effective medication for many people and still one of the most prescribed for many reasons's many not only take it for sleep but for depression and anxiety or sedative all day long. in the higher doses. So it is for sure worth a try. Just make sure you only take the amount the doctor prescribes and I really hope it helps you too.
