I am desperately trying to get my doctor to send the refill to where I am now, but yesterday she didn't and today she is taking her boards and can't be reached. I called my PCP (her husband) to see if he would authorize 2 pills and he is out today too. I'm having a mini-breakdown because I am trying to work, but intermittently cry for no reason, have constant brain buzz, headaches, heart palpitations, dizziness (almost fell in the shower) and feel like I can't think. This whole mess makes me want to come off it completely, but when I came off 150mg of Effexor slowly with my dr's help, I had brain buzz for 2+ years! I am back home tomorrow, but anyone have any ideas how to get through another day of this?
I'm afraid nothing much will help at this point but to get back on your Cymbalta ad soon as you can. I used to take it also, and found that l couldn't miss a day without a real problem. I couldn't stand it anymore so my Dr switched me to celexa. If I miss a day or two, I don't have anywhere near the problems I had with the Cymbalta. I find that it's a much better and easier medication all around. It also has the benefit of being less expensive. Perhaps this would be a viable alternative for you.
