Questions for Transgender: What pills are best for hormones therapy for adult trans women or transgender?
I'm not sure it's appropriate to discuss because taking medication designed to produce dramatic physical/emotional/mental changes isn't the sort of thing you can ask your General Practioner for. The specialist Pscychiatrists that you, are required by law (I believe) to, consult in these situations will have a selection of medications that they use depending on the desired outcome, the patients existing hormone levels as well as the need for extensive psychotherapy and analysis.
Having known, socially, in varying degrees, 5 transgender people over the years (one who has been a friend for some time), all I can say is they are all very different people. The long term friend who has been living as a woman for more than 30 years now torments herself at times but says: "it seemed like a good idea... " and pines for her first love; a gorgeous young German girl that she was recently re-united with via the internet. Another is obsessed with getting huge breasts. Yet another, primary male, wants to change in order to be a lesbian. None of them are happy in any respect.
Good luck on your personal journey.
