I've been on antidepressants and antipsychotics for over twenty years. They keep me from being suicidal, but I feel I'm not at my best unless I go into a hypomanic state, which, regrettably, usually lasts at most for two days.
I'm looking to try TMS. Has anybody tried it? And how will did it work for you?
I have suffered with chronic depression for ever 20 years too. Antidepressants don't really help. I read about this treatment (TMS) and it sounded promising. I have not tried it yet but I definitely want to. I would also be interested to find out if anyone tried it and their experience.
Well guys, I went to the consultation today. I am supposed to start my TMS therapy this coming Tuesday. I'll keep you informed. They say you don't see results until weeks 6-8. They also said that 72% of their patients respond, and that 50% of the patients who respond are able to get off medications.
