I was taking hydrocodone. However, because of the new restrictions my doctor put me on tramadol. I took the Norco for 8 years. He has started me out on 50 mg, every six hours. tramadol is no where near as effective as the hydro at the 50 mg level. So, I'm taking it every six hours, quite literally. He prescribed me 100 with 2 refills. How long before I can get my first refill? When I go back to see him in Jan, I plan to ask him to consider increasing the strength. But, I just wonder when I can get these refilled? I'm not out yet, but taking them every six hours is 4 within a 24 hour period.
At four a day (one every six hours), you have 25 days worth.
The other thing is that quitting Tramadol can be really hard for some people with an acute withdrawal phase twice that of true opiates. Don't plan on dosage increases if you can do without please. I quite liked it as a mild pain killer but have never taken it for more than 5 days at a stretch.
