Help I pulled a muscle in my neck this morning, I took 400mg twice today but it's barely touching the pain. I found the Tramadol in my draw from a car accident I had a few months ago but I never took it. Think it will help me now?
It might but 400mg at a time is too much. You should try 100mg 4 times a day but no more today. The max dose is 400mg per DAY!! You put yourself at risk for a seizure taking more than 400mg a day. This medication lowers the seizure threshhold and high doses can cause you to have a seizure. Use ice to your neck (or heat if the ice hurts too much) and take some ibuprofen. If you are not better in a day or two, see your physician.
There is also the fact that tramadol doesn't work if taken as an as necessary med for acute pain. It needs to be taken on a regular basis and is recommended for chronic pain. Dzoo gave you good advice. You will probably have much better relief doing it the way she recommended.
Thank you 3 Ladies, I learned alot. I only took regular Tramadol- It was terrible
for me. Because of a Bad interaction with my Celexa. I was mad that my PCP
ordered that for me! Found my new Dr. and been with him 5 years.
I sure hope your neck starts hurting, Pjennie+ D the SQuare
Hi, i used to take Tramadol for a back injury and did find that taking it regularly throughout the day eased my pain better than using it ad lib. I was taking immediate release capsules. If you are using extended release version it will take some time from taking the first tablet to work on your pain. Some people like the XR version but i didn't find it as effective as the capsules. If the Tramadol you have don't have any other added ingredients, you can take paracetamol and/or ibuprofen with them. Hope you are feeling better soon!
NO. Ultram is stone cold garbage.weak as puppy piss. And ur already taking 4times the regular dose. Obviously you are in need of a more serious medicine. I was in a car wreck,i know. The only medicines that will ease ur suffering are opiates and muscle relaxants.id recommend the muscle relaxants first.once you start down the opiate road,it will change your life..youll see why ultram sucks the big one and is not a controlled substance.it doesnt do much for you.but if youre in serious serious pain, go for the hydrocodone.it will ease your suffering.if youve never taken opiates before, strap yourself in and enjoy the ride.but remember, its only temporary and all good things come to an end. My suggestion put that candy axs ultram back in the drawer, try a muscle relaxant e.g. robaxin, skelaxin, flexeril, etc and pray about it.
