I have been on tramadol 37.5/325 (8per day), 10mg cyclobenzaprine (2per day) and 10mg ketorolac (3per day) for the last two years with a back injury (bulged discs with tears and sciatica). I am currently maxed out on the amount of each that I am allowed to take daily. I need some advice on what opinions are avaible for pain relievers. Something stronger and that I do not have to take every other hour. I am so tired of this pain. My doctor has refused to do surgery because I am 24yrs old and has stuck me on pain meds which no longer work. Please help.
Sorry nobody answered you sooner. There are plenty of medications out there much more effective than Tramadol. It's like the baby of pain medication. Unfortunately the hype and misinformation about opioids, in addition to the DEAs ludicrous decision to become practicing DRs, has got many Physicians wary of prescribing anything more effective than Motrin. Not to mention insulting them by telling them what/how much they can prescribe. It's just not worth the hassle for some DRs. Your young age is also gonna make a DR think twice about anything stronger . Good luck, I hope you find your relief.
