... shows an AVERAGE blood sugar of 154, I am hungry, and sometimes feel faint. What can I do to get better numbers and not feel awful all the time?
Diet and exercise are always the first thing. Lower your carb intake will do good. Cutting back on your carbs by about 10-20 grams a day might be all you need. 154 is pretty close to target
A brisk walk after eating is also good. A twenty minute walk can lower your number by 20 points. If that's too much, try 10 minutes after each meal.
Going long periods between meals and then eating a large meal is the worst way to handle diabetes. Blood sugar does its damage when it spikes, which it will after a large meal. Eating a small snack and cutting back on the meal, will keep your A1C the same but it will lower the spikes
