Hi Welcome to the world of cymbalta. I am now in the 6th week I think I still have about 2 weeks until I feel the full effect. Your dcotor is right it takes about 6 weeks to take full effect and maybe a week before you feel some effect. The dry mouth is normal and who knows maybe you are supersensitive to and active ingredient that you are feeling loopy and relaxed. if it gets to feel bad or you think you are having a reaction call your pharmacist or doctor. Remember it is a holiday do it you feel weird or bad tomorrow call. Your doctor is always on call but it is better to catch them when they are in especially on a holiday. Maybe what you are feeling is just a feeling of relief that you are taking something to get you back on track.I hope this helps and I do not know why the person before me answered the way they did but lets just assume they made a mistake. Good Luck and God Bless. I hope you start feeling better soon
my husband took cymbalta for foot pain he is a diabetic and it hit him the same way so he stopped taking it .
