If you're sure its bacterial and not viral you can. Of course if you have left overs you don't have enough for a full course, and you should always take the full amount the dr prescribes.

See your Dr for diagnosis first. In many many cases, illnesses are viral and antibiotics dont help-they just cause antibiotic resistance. We are getting to where we have fewer and fewer drugs for treating resistant strains and it is because antibiotics are so overused because doctors and patients are unhappy when the Dr tells them to go home and rest and take fluids-people expect a pill now every time they get sick and we are paying the price from past docs freely prescribing antibiotics when they arent needed. If it is a bacterial infection susceptible to amoxicillin, then yes, it will help. If it is a virus then antibiotics wont help you get well any faster free discount card
