He is a 12 year old maltese and weighs approx 5kg.
I have Bayer Asprin Cardio in my cupboard
Please advise me
I give my 14 yr old chin 1 baby aspirin, and he weighs about 6 kg. Only twice a day tho.
My specialty is surgery, but from early studies I was taught that small (5-10mg per lb) dosages of baby aspirins are okay. I don't want a pet fatality, so please refer to your vet. My OR friends have mentioned they have used Rimadyl and Previcox for their pets. Hope this helps some.
Personally, I believe the right thing and best thing to do is take your beloved pet and companion friend to the vet. Before giving any medications that could mask symptoms... a proper diagnosis is necessary. The last thing you need are new symptoms like ulcers or diarrhea from giving your sweet friend something it doesn't need or could potentially have an adverse reaction to.
