The condition I have is a travelling tingling sensation on my back, almost like someone is touching me. When I read the side effects of this medication I feel as if its not really worth taking the meds. I dont have epilepsy or RLS. Is this a medication that could help fix my condition? Ive experienced the sensation for about 6 month now, it started out as a small area now its much bigger and moves. There is nothing to see, no rash or anything.
Its used for nerve problems and it may have a long list of side effects, that does not mean you will have any of them. I take 600 a day with no side effects. The first few days you feel a little dopey, but it wears off as you take it. It really helps me. Many of us her take it with no problems.
I just started this med too and am on my 2nd week, I am really seeing a difference. I am on 1200mg a day with no side effects however I did have some mild ones in the beginning. This is a med that you must first build up a tolerance to in order for the med to fully work. Also, I do not have any seizures or half the diagnosis this med is used for. Its used for many things and is a really good drug for most. Just got give it a little more time to fully decide whether or not it will be of any help to you. Good luck to ya!:)
I'm also on gabapentin, been on for 3 months now. Started on 300mg 3X daily now on 600mg 3X daily. I did have some bad feeling at first but after a week or two everything is good & the med is helping me alot. I'm taking it for CRPS/2 with nerve damage to my right foot. After been on this med for 3 months I can now touch & massage my foot, still in alot of pain but doing alot better than I was months ago. Hope this helps you some. Good Luck.
