Greetings; I have been on Dilaudid for a few years and it works O.K... I too am an EMT and would like your opinion?. Have you tried Dilaudid and did the Nubaine work much better for you?. It sounds as if it has, so, I am thinking about asking my doctor for it. Are they usually open to it? I live in the Boston area and the docs.here really want you out of pain, but then you get the one that wants to give you ibuprophen, which is like throwing a brick in the Grand Canyon! But, I didn't know of anything newer and I've tried them all. People don't understand that are in chronic pain, that the pain meds. go to our pain, not to our "heads" or to a "buzz".I have had two knee replacements and two spinal fusions, L4,L5 & S1, all unsuccesful. I truly know what pain is, but pain meds, they make our life worth living. Thanx for any advice at all. Brightest Blessings to you and your family! I hope you find another EMT job. I haven't done it for a while but maybe if my Doctor gives me Nubaine I'll get lucky! What part of the country are you in? Peace!
