Are Tizanidine HCL and Flexeril the same thing?

No, they are two different medications.
They are both muscle relaxants but 2 very different medications.
Tizanidine = Zanaflex; I find personally is less sedating and has worked a lot better than Flexeril. Sometimes you have to try different medications in the same class to see which really works for you.
