I went for a check up yesterday and they found me with vaginal yeast and the inject me with one injection an gave me 4 x 1 tinidazol be taken bed time and gave me doxzy tablets to start the next day for five days. that why iam asking that question above
lizy sounds like they have you coverd but No tinidazol is for bacteria more than yeast so the doctor much have checked you and come up with it not being a yeast infection here is a copy and paste of what it is used for... maybe sense you seen the doctor yesterday call and find out what they are treating your for did they not give you paper work... here is the copy and paste.Tinidazole is an antibiotic that fights bacteria in the body. Tinidazole is used to treat certain infections caused by bacteria, such as infection of the intestines or vagina. It is also used to treat certain sexually transmitted infections. Tinidazole may also be used for purposes other than those listed... So its me again..you need to know because if it is for a STD... you want to make sure your partner does not have it also and you get reinfected..very importaint..hope this helps but call the office and see what they can tell you..don't be shy its your health and you should know what you have . Ask the office should my partner be treated??? hope this helps some..chuck1957
You may have a vaginal infection but those treatments are NOT for yeast infection! You have a bacterial infection of some kind and as chuck said, you need to find out what kind because if it is something like trichimoniasis, your partner needs to be treated as well or you will get it back the next time you have sex after treatment if he is not treated too, even if he has no symptoms. Men can harbor these bacteria (and so can women) long before any symptoms arise so it doesnt mean that you or your partner was necessarily "cheating" but one of you may have been infected by a previous partner. Your Dr did you a bit of disservice by not educating you about this infection.
