Hi I'm on 10mg a day for last 2 weeks for.nerve.pain on my jaw (not sure what's causing it.yet whether it's my bad sinus or gum related). I'm also on 40mg propranolol for anxiety but this is well under control and getting better. I've started having a tingling sensation in my head and face but don't know what's causing that either and looking up side affects of this drug this can be a cause, , but is 10mg on top of 40mg proproponol strong enough to cause this ?
richardvila; The amitriptyline has very little to do with the Inderal or propranolol and this is listed as a side effect.((((burning, crawling, itching, numbness, prickling, "pins and needles", or tingling feelings)))) But also the Amitriptyline is used a lot for nerve pain or tingling a type of neuropathy Best to keep on it and call your doctor Monday, With all the problems you are having it could very well be from the other things you are having. This is a very low dose of this medication and the only way you are going to be able to see if it works is continue with it.And check with your doctor on Monday you can also call your Pharmacist and see what he or she has to say.But for sure call your doctor on Monday. this could very easy be the other problems you are having. Try and have a good Thanksgiving Glad the Propranolol is working well for your Anxiety it has really helped me also.
richardvila; Please always list the medication even if you think your in that drugs thread, So many people take so many different medications we want to make sure that we give you a correct Answer Medication is nothing to fool with And whenever you see a doctor don't take for granted they well know what medications you are on always keep a list of your Prescription medications and any over the counter medications supplements and vitamins you would not believe how many people don't think of Interactions on medications there are and they think just because you can buy them over the counter they are not medications. And can't stress enough how important this is You have to take control of your own health.
This is also a good Idea to always buy your prescription medications from one pharmacy. The Pharmacist is a great resource for information and I have found they know much more about medications than most doctors and they check for Interactions as they are filling your prescriptions. Also, they can look at your medications when you need an over the counter medication. Enjoy your day my friend And this is also true with getting to know your doctors main Nurse.
