Hi Lulugurl, I started on Harvoni and Ribavirin June 1st. I had to take the first dose at the doctor's office at 10am. The doctor said that I could switch it around so I could take the Harvoni and Ribavirin at night and the Ribavirin dose in the morning. She suggested night time so I could sleep through most of the possible side effects. I have switched to the night time schedule. As of today, Thursday, I have had very minimal side effects. I attribute that to the fact that I am drinking a lot of water, of course I am going to the bathroom every half hour, but I feel pretty good. DRINK ALOT OF WATER!!!
Good luck in your quest to conquer the DRAGON!
So happy to hear your starting Monday... I take my harvoni 8:00am everyday. I've been in it now for 25 days and all is well with me. I have very little side affect nothing that even slowed me down at all. I walk 2 miles a day weather permitted, I eat well, drink pleany of water, and keep going. I go for my 5 week blood work soon I can't wait to see the results. God willing this virus will be destroyed once and for all... What ever time works for you will be fine...
Hi there .. I started June first also I take mine at 9am have to be at work at 10 so I drink 2 8 oz glasses of water when I wake up eat breakfast then take my pill I'm up early cause I workout in the mornings. All is well my eyes are a little dry but that is about it. You will be fine just make sure to drink lots of water I drink about 12 glasses a day I think that is the key to no side affects. Although I never heard anything from my doctor about that
I have started Harvoni May 8th 2015. I was taking my dose at 5pm. I was struggling to wake up for kids, work, ect.. I began on June 1st taking dose at 3pm. Yesterday I actually felt able to just sit up out of bed without snoozing alarm every 15 min, It may just work for me. The tiredness doesn't seem to go away even drinking lots of water. (10bottles of 16.9 fl oz) Take care
Took my last pill June 1st, 12 week plan. Working 10 hr days, took pill at 7 am and drank at least 100 oz s water a day. No mention able side effects. 4 weeks blood came back no-det, alt and ast normal . Next blood test 6/8, results 6/12 after that 6 mos that's the one I'm anxious about.Good Luck so far so good. My prayers are with you all.
Welcome. Because of minimal side effects when you take the Harvoni is strictly personal preference depending on your schedule and lifestyle. What's important is a routine. I dose at 8am. An alarm on my phone goes off, take the med, and mark it on a calendar. Drinking water helps with side effects, but sounds like you know that. Good Luck. You're on a great forum with lots of information. There's a lot of us in this together.
