I had a box of 3 pens I brought home from the pharmacy. Somehow, I misplaced them for about 5 days unrefrigerated. Are they ruined? I know you can keep them at room temperature once they are in use.
Check with the information that comes with the med. It is winter and as long as they weren't exposed to an extreme high temp, they're probably OK. The box says "should be kept at room temp below 86 degrees, away from direct heat and light". Of course, that is for in use pens. So, how warm did they get? I'm currently using a pen that I forgot to refiderate for 24 hours and its OK, but that's a big difference. The best advice would probably come from your pharmacist.
