Sounds as though you should be in recovery (AA, Teen Challenge) neither means you have to drink or be a teen, AND find a new Dr who will help you come clean. Also sounds as though there's a bit of history here, so, you may want to look at a longer road and be free of the substance abuse for good. Best to you, hope this helps.
Hi. Sorry you are suffering so much. I think the psych doc was saying that he wanted to help you with the speed and to do that you would have to be in a hospital. He also wanted to be sure you are not crazy, say in a manic mode (sorry all you bipolars, you know what I mean). He was helping you and surely had your best interests at heart. When speeding it is hard to listen and hear right. It's ok. He was working on getting to know you and what you need. Just like anyone else. Not really defending the doc, just getting one to think about this.
you know that speeding too long makes you crazy, right? Body has to rest. Coming down is a nasty crash. A hospital would help you with that. Hope you can get some help. It sounds terrible to go back and forth. Worse of all you may not survive another crash or long high. It takes it's toll.
Hello tammyblondie. Its not at all unusual for a doctor working the ER to call for a psychiatric evaluation. So please don't feel as if you were singled out. To add my response to your question "What do I do now?" Get a strong support system and see if you can get onto a psychiatric ward, where I know that you'll be not getting your high(s), you will be receiving three meals per day, and your body can begin to heal itself on the physical side. Best of wishes, pledge
