have lg herniated disc compressing cord at t7-t8 for close to 2 yrs. beento pain clinicsthey all suck as far as i can tell. if inj dont work they dont want to help you. ready to have big surgery if i can find dr to do it.
I think you might be talking about a discectomy of T7/8. I had a discectomy of C-5/6 for a ruptured disc. I chose to use my own bone for fusion of the C-5/6 disc space. They took a piece of bone from my hip. To be honest, I had more pain from my hip than from the discectomy. Mine is a success story, but I have heard horror stories as well. An orthopoedic surgeon did my surgery. Hope this helps.
I would like to know if anyone has had these issues or this surgery recently, or can discuss this, the most recent answers or questions seem to be a couple years ago, I am still in tremendous pain and would love to have someone with similar experiences to chat with...
