i dont have any ua and am not on probation my goal is to ween myself off of bupronorphine and be pain med free for long enough to actually feel my norcos again I built up a tollarance to my norcos to the point that i kept running out before my refills were due so I had no choice but to start taking the bupros now when my script come in the norcos have no effect so if I stop the bupros for maybe a week or two before I take the norcos again will I get the effect I used to get at a normal two 10/325 efect or will the bupros keep blocking the affects for longer like a month does any body know how long it takes before the blockers stop blocking?
It depends, bupe is not a magic medication, it is a tool to help someone get off opiates safely and comfortably so they will not have to go into an inpatient rehab, they could still work and provide for their family. There is much misinformation about suboxone out there and just from what I am reading, it sounds like you are obtaining your suboxone from an... ahem... unlicensed, freelance pharmaceutical supply man, likely someone who has no idea what subs will of will not do. I am not judging you, please know that. Suboxone is a large molecule and it sort of stretches the opiate receptors in the brain, methadone would do the same thing, I am using this as an example, to try to explain why your system will likely not work. The more those opiate receptors stretch, the less the lower dose short acting opiates will work, you will likely need more, not less, of the short acting opiates. I hope I have not offended you, I am trying to answer your question to the best of my ability and put some info in here for others who may never post but still will read this answer, your plan will likely not work. At 16 mgs of subs per day, opiates will be blocked for 3 to 5 days, at 8 mgs, 2 to 4 days and no matter how long you wait, it will not lower your opiate tolerance, it will up your tolerance requiring more norcos, not less.
