I am reading about it and the only one I can relate to is talking fast and being hyper at times. How do I know for sure? I was prescribed two different medication for depression and ADHD, but nothing for mood stabilizers as I read I should be taking? what questions should I be asking to make sure? Im concerned?
First let me explain that there are several types of bipolar disorders. One is characterized more by depression while another is more characterized by mania. Depending on the symptoms you have the doctor should be prescribing accordingly. If your mood swings are less significant than your depression and/or anxiety, the doctor may have decided to concentrate on treating that first. I try to not get hung up on what my diagnosis is in favor of treating my symptoms, things that affect my ability to function in everyday life.
