Me and my boyfriend were completely foolish and had unprotected sex (on July, 9) the day before I started to ovulate (my cycle is very scheduled). I took the Next Choice pill no more than an hour after the unprotected sex though. I've heard both good and bad reviews about Next choice so I was a bit worried. It is now July 18th (9 days after unprotected sex) and I feel very very bloated and I threw up a little. I heard these both are symptoms of pregnancy AND the pill and I can't tell if the time frame fits pregnancy or the pill's symptoms. I was hoping I could get a second opinion for a professional.
Its the pill side effects, because you would not have any symptoms of pregnancy yet. The pill does nasty things to your body, you're cycle will messed up too. Its not unusual for your period to be late with it either. Why not get on a reliable form of birth control to avoid all that?
At 18 y/o, you are an adult and as such can now make your own decisions about your health, including your reproductive health and there is nothing your parents can do. You mother is probably smarter than you give her credit for. (We were young once too and kids havent changed all that much) She likely suspects you are already having sex. She may not know for sure. As a mother myself, I'd much rather my children protect themselves if they were having sex rather than risk unprotected sex because they thought I'd get mad if I found their birth control!! I mean that is just silly! I'm sure your mother would have rather you waited to have sex until you are married but since you didnt, I am sure she would rather you protected yourself against an unwanted pregnancy!
