It seems as though every drug my father is put on, if there is a side effect, he will usually have it, and more often than not, in a very big way! He needs many of these types of drugs, for the conditions he has. But after a while it becomes a matter of, "okay, which ones are bothering him the most?" We do not know where to turn for help!!!
Is there such a thing as hypersensitivity to all pharmaceutical Drugs?

It might be of reference for all to know that the areas he is having trouble with excessive sleeping, jerky movements, and he is very, very weak, which means he spends alot of time in bed and his muscles are wasting away, and even getting him to eat can sometimes be a real problem. Not good considering he is also a dialysis patient at night, at home every evening. These jerks also seem to come on, when he is either confined , (like in a car), or has high anxiety. Everything that we try to give him to help the jerks, or his anxiety puts him to sleep!
JohnEChapel No now some people may be extra sensitive to a whole class of a type of medication. The best you can do is tell any doctor prescribing a drug for you Dad is keep a list he has had problems and tell the doctor and show the doctor also tell them your dad has had so many problems with medications so can we try a weeks amount or so and make sure he does not have a problem with this one yes by doing this it well cost you a few bucks more in the long run but it cost a lot more in the long run if you keep getting the full amount and having to get rid of them remember keep a list of all medications he has had a problem and again tell the doctor he has had reactions to these good luck.chuck1957
