... My grand-daughter has/had ovarian cancer, has no job and Illinois Public Aid pays only $30.00 towards her monthly precription cost and she must pay $70.00 She cannot afford to pay this amount and neither can we, her grandparents. Thank you
Mick, there are other resources to look into for discounts. One thing to try is that many states offer a discount card that anyone who lives in the state can use. In my state, AZ, it is called the Copper Card but you can find out if your state does by googling "(your state) prescription drug discounts". Some of these discounts can be pretty substantial. Also try the Co Pay Relief program Ph# 1-866-512-3861 or www.copay.org, or Suddenly Senior (dont have to be senior age to use-anyone can use this program) www.suddenlysenior.com/patientassistantprograms.html, or Needy Meds www.needymeds.org, also Partnership for Prescription Assistance Ph# 1-888-477-2669 or www.pparx.org, and finally Patient Assistance www.patientassistance.com. Hopefully one of these resources will be of some help. Good Luck!
