Tetracycline is an antibiotic used to treat certain bacterial infections. It is a prescription medicine and should only be taken on the recommendation of your doctor or dentist.
You need to see a dentist as antibiotic therapy alone may not be effective to treat a tooth infection. Surgical drainage and or a root canal filling may be required in conjunction with pain relief and antibiotics.
