Testosterone loss mainly occurs because of age. The best way to see if you need testosterone supplements is to ask your doctor to do a blood draw and see what the results are. On my LabCorp. scale any number below like 345 is considered low testosterone and indicates the person should get testosterone replacement by patches, gels, or IM weekly injections. I tried the gel and patch but my testosterone blood levels never rose to the normal range. So now I am taking weekly injections into my hip muscle and I can tell the difference.
If you are worried that your testosterone level in your body is low or below normal, check with your doctor for a blood test and find out.
Good Luck, CJ
