Or does it take 6 months to go away. I am not sure h
ow long I have to be on this medication.
I know for sure that it is recommended to be on the medication for six months or sometimes longer depending on the severity of the fungal infection and many other factors. Some of the factors are: your immune system, your stress level, what you eat, do you provide good nutrition for yourself, do you have a hobby or a way to unstress, meditation or yoga tai chi those are great.how much moisture is trapped in your shoes and socks, best to have open toed shoes if at all possible and I wonder about those sweat free socks. They sound bizarre and full of horrid chemicals but I haven't really looked into them. You should though. If they aren't toxic maybe wear those, or natural cotton socks are a must. I'm going to look into those socks for the winter. This factor is huge; moisture or dryness. Also, do you go to the beach? The sun, the salt water and sand can slough off some of the skin. They dry out the toenail which is good. If no beach putting at least your foot in the sun is amazing. Many essential oils are helpful, namely stinky but effective tea tree oil, I have used lavender and had amazing results. I soak my feet in epsom salts. My toe with the happy community that has overrun it, tends to get athletes foot thanks to the toenail sharing it's love or fungal fairy dust!! So I use the lavender for that. I use lavender for so many things. If you can only afford one essential il let i be that one. If you read into essential oils, trust me, they work wonders in your life. They have in mine. they are great medically and also just for relaxation. They can increase libido fight off a flu, cure burns and cuts, cure depressed mood, tranquilize, wake up, you name it not to mention how many of them are food grade and used in cooking in place of the fresh or dried herb they use the oil. The very best book so far to me is The Complete Guide To Essential Oils by Valerie Ann Worwood. Sorry to ramble. I absolutely cannot take the medicine. I have tried it 5 times over ten years.Have a great day and good luck
