I have a very bad case, my toenail is yellow and toe connected to same nail is very red. It was infected doctor gave me an Antibiotics 10 days, 7 days, 7 days again. After that did not work now he gave me the anti Fungal pills. 7 days wait 3 months then 7 days again. Repeat 3 times. Will this work? I just took my first pill
When you take an antibiotic you kill all or almost all bacteria and often end up with a yeast infection. Yeast infects toes and feet very commonly. A course of antifungal medicine should work on all but the most stubborn of infections. If you get symptoms of a yeast infection during the 3 months' wait, call your Dr. to get the okay to start another course of antifungal medicine.
