My period has never been regular but it seems to gotten a lot worse. not long ago i did no get my period for 3 months and after being absolutely positive I was not pregnant I went to the doctor. She gave me medroxyprogesterone a few days after finishing the ten pills she gave me I got my period like normal and maybe two weeks later got it again but a bit lighter but now the next month has passed and I am not getting it again. Is it possible that I need this at all times to get my period?
Medroxyprogesterone is a a form of progesterone, a female hormone that helps regulate ovulation and menstrual periods. It is also used to bring on a normal menstrual cycle in women who menstruated normally in the past but have not menstruated recently and who are not pregnant.
You need to see your doctor again. Sometimes it may require more than 1 cycle to work.
