I am a 52 year old woman. I know I will have to have all my teeth extracted soon due to bruxism and acid erosion. I cannot afford dentures right now. I am so overwhelmed by all of this. Will I do any permanent damage to mouth or gums if I wait to get dentures? I also have depression and I am very worried all of this is really going to do me in. Thanks.
I cant speak to the depression but I would say that if there is ANY way to get those dentures, even inexpensive temps, to DO it because you are going to look BAD to yourself without teeth. I had my uppers pulled and wear upper dentures and this was done in 2007 but my husband has still not seen me without them in, as I refuse to allow it, I look OLD without them in! You are too young to look like an old witch.
